September has come and many of the Greek ski resorts have not yet started their maintenance and preparation. Most of the time, though, it’s work. Let’s look at some of them:
Karpenissi (Velouhi): Their summer event is the works done in Karpenissi. After the covered beginner’s runway last winter, work continues. So, in addition to servicing the machines and the lifts, we also have a cable replacement in Anemo 2 to re-operate this lift after years. Karpenisi S.C. is modernized with new electrical panels, fiber optic in all its facilities and installation of an electronic ticket to better serve the guests. There was also a snow carousel for his little friends.
Parnassos: At sS.C. Parnassos the service has started early this year and the administration’s goal is to be ready by the end of October. The pricing list for the 2019-20 season is also being prepared with some minor changes (in terms of categories) and is expected to be released by the beginning of next month (for the first time in years). It seems, even after last year, that with the new administration Parnassos has been on the upward trajectory for good!
Kalavryta: The first priority for the S.C. Kalavryta is the repair of the Styga. The contractor has already signed and the lift is expected to be ready for the coming season. The tender for the purchase of new vehicles (rattack, snowmobiles, farm car, etc.) for € 1,000,000 will also take place in a few days. These vehicles will be available to the S.C. in the new season.
Falakro: Within the month the tender for the maintenance and operation of the S.C. Falakro is being held. If we consider that the competition was held last year and everything went smoothly, then we have no reason not to be optimistic about this year as well.
