The Parnassos is the biggest ski center of Greece and it collects the largest number of skiers. It operated for the first time in 1976 and has since changed its economic and social form in the surrounding area.
Arachova, Delfi, Agoriani, Polydrossos, Itea and in general the areas adjacent to the Parnassos mountain range gained great economic value. The mountain receives tens of thousands of visitors throughout the winter.
Its ski terrain is spread over two different areas, the Kellaria and the Fterolaka. In 2014, the first phase of the modernization of the Kellaria was carried out. The new state-of-the-art Combi lift named 'Aphrodite - Vakchos' includes the 8-seater cab lift (8 MGD) and the 6-seater chair and 8-seat cab (6/8 CGD) "Vakchos". The two lifts are connected to the intermediate station at Kellaria 1950 and are designed to operate in combination or independently.
Also, in 2014 the CSE. Parnassos has acquired the Special Operational Lab of Tourism Infrastructure from EOT, with the certification "ELOT EN ISO 14001: 2004" by QMSCERT.
